What is a Guardian Home / Families
Whether a pet or a breeding dog, we believe all our Dogs should be part of a family. We want them to be happy, healthy, socialized, trained, and to live their life to the fullest. Having a Guardianship program helps us achieve our goals, for the individual dogs and for our program.
Every now and again, we will place a puppy we have kept back and place it in guardian home. We like to hang onto our pick of the litters and grow them out a bit to see if it is something we want to explore in our program. Puppies can be placed at the age 8 week - 6 months (usually). Sometime we will even place adults into a guardian home. Our guardian families will be getting one of our pups/dogs we have to offer at a discounted rate in exchange for your assistance throughout the breeding lifetime of the dog. Our families get a pet for life and we are able to retain legal ownership and breeding rights of the dog. Once the dog has completed its time in our program, we will spay/neuter them and sign over full ownership to the guardian family.
There are requirements set forth in a contract that must be followed for obvious reasons. The value of these dogs can reach up to several thousands. Therefore it is important for us to find just the right homes.
